GARETH EVANS
24/10/2020 15:42Born on 26 April 1988 in Macclesfield. Gareth is a winger, who began his career in the youth set-up at Crewe Alexandra aged just seven. He rejoined Crewe in 2002 after seven years at Manchester United, but was released in 2007. Gareth signed for Macclesfield Town after impressing for Port Vale during the 2007-08 pre-season. He joined Bradford City in July 2009 and after two years there, signed for Rotherham United in June 2011. On New Year's Day 2013, Gareth joined Fleetwood Town on a free transfer. He signed for Pompey on 28 July 2015.
A hugely popular player with fans, Gareth left the club by mutual consent on 25 September and re-signed for Bradford City. A big loss in our humble opinion, but Bradford at the time signed one of the hardest working, committed professionals in the lower leagues. Gareth now plays for non-league side Radcliffe.
