HUSEKLEPP IS VERY CLOSE TO POMPEY

We have been strongly linked with 26-year-old Norwegian striker Erik Huseklepp. Now his agent is remaining tight-lipped that his client is on his way to Championship side Portsmouth. His agent, Tore Pedersen, believes he can fit very well to English football and that English fans would appreciate him.

"You will have to speak to Portsmouth about their transfers," Pedersen told The News. "I don't want to say anything. We'll wait and see if there's anything concerning Portsmouth. I'm sure something will happen with him before the close of the transfer window. Where he will go? I can't say. I think he would work well in England, though. He's hard working and always gives 100 per cent. That's what English people like."

He also speaks about his abillity:

"He can play all the positions up front in a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3. He can score goals and he's a good provider. You can see his record is impressive with the Norwegian national team. There are a lot of clubs interested and I have heard about Portsmouth but it's down to the club to speak about their transfers."
