JACK WHATMOUGH

Born in Gosport on 19 August 1996. Jack is a central defender, who began his youth career at Southampton before joining Pompey's Academy in 2009. He signed a two-year scholarship deal in July 2012 and signed his first professional deal at Pompey on 19 August 2013. He made his senior debut against Southend United in a League Two fixture on 26 November 2013, playing the entire 90 minutes.

Jack made his international debut, playing for England U18s versus Croatia, on 5 March 2014.

Always a firm favourite with fans, Jack left the club after the end of the 2020-21 season, having failed to agree a new contract. He subsequently signed for Wigan Athletic. Jack now plays for Preston North End.
